I will never waste my money again at this pretentious overpriced dump either in KC or any other location. I'm not sure I have room in my life (or my wallet!) for Eddie Vs. There are too many long-established steak & seafood places that are my favs. We enjoyed our dining experience and would probably return - for Happy Hour. Once our server arrived with the shots, she almost poured the vodka in the margarita. We ordered an additional shot of Deep Eddy Grapefruit Vodka ($10) and a shot of Grand Marnier ($12) which were probably the tiniest shots in the history of the consumption of alcohol. I don't expect cocktails to be overly strong, but these two were quite horrid. Cocktails: Margarita on the Rocks & Sparkling Ruby. Third Course: Fresh Fruit Sorbet & Bananas Foster Cake. One order would've been enough and I would expect the server to inform us of the portion, but she did not. We opted to order 2 additional sides of au gratin potatoes. Second Course - Salmon & Roasted Chicken. The soup was rich and delicious with good sized pieces of lobster. I like my soup PIPING HOT, but understand the restaurant's liability for serving it at that temp. We started with bread service & the first course - Lobster Bisque. :) Being part of the Capital Grille family, I expected nothing less than what I received - tasteful decor, attentive service and delicious, fresh food. I'm not complaining, just letting you know. My dinner date and I dined here last evening as Eddie Vs is part of "Restaurant Week." If you think you're going to dine here for the advertised $33 per person, you're sadly mistaken.
